چکیده
Numerical methods based on solutions of Maxwell’s equations are usually adopted for the electromagnetic characterization of Magnetic Resonance (MR) Radiofrequency (RF) coils. In this context, many different numerical methods can be employed, including time domain methods, e.g., the Finite-Difference Time-Domain (FDTD), and frequency domain methods, e.g., the Finite Element Methods (FEM) and the Method of Moments (MoM). Designing and Fabrication of a New Radiofrequency Planar microcoil for mini-Nuclear Magnetic Resonance
Introduction Radiofrequency planar microcoils are used to increase the resolution of magnetic resonance images of small samples. In this study, we aimed to design and fabricate a spiral planar microcoil constructed on a double-sided printed circuit board (PCB). It has four rings with an internal diameter of 241 microns tuned and matched at 63.8 MHz. Materials and Methods To achieve the maximum ...
متن کامل3-D RF Coil Design Considerations for MRI
High-frequency coils are widely used in medical applications, such as Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) systems. A typical medical MRI includes a local radio frequency transmit/receive coil. This coil is designed for maximum energy transfer or wave transfer through magnetic resonance. Mutual inductance is a dynamic parameter that determines the energy quantity to be transferred wirelessly by ele...

PURPOSE To examine the thermal effects of the physiological response to heating during exposure to radiofrequency (RF) electromagnetic fields in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) with a head-specific volume coil. MATERIALS AND METHODS Numerical methods were used to calculate the temperature elevation in MRI of the human head within volume coils from 64-400 MHz at different power levels both wi...
متن کاملOn the Radio-frequency Power Requirements of Human MRI
In high and ultrahigh field magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) research, computational electromagnetic techniques are now taking an important role in the design and evaluation of MRI radiofrequency (RF) coils. This paper focuses on the RF power requirements and specific absorption rate (SAR) associated with the MRI operation at different field strength. This paper also presents new techniques for...
متن کاملThe Clinical Necessity of Lumbar Spine Mag-netic Resonance Imaging Prescriptions for Low Back Pain in Bushehr Teaching Hospitals in 2018
Background: Low back pain (LBP) is currently the most common musculoskeletal disorder and a major cause of disability. A remarkable percentage of diagnostic imaging prescriptions are not necessary, therefore, this study aimed to determine the necessity of lumbar MRI prescriptions in Bushehr teaching hospitals in 2018. Materials and Methods: This cross-sectional descriptive-analytical study rec...
